Grate Bale Box Feeders were originally designed by Dane Melvin in the early 1990s when he declared war on the way traditional hay feeders and his sheep wasted prime hay and alfalfa.
Because the GBBF promotes complete hay consumption, an added benefit to fiber producers is that there is no hay in fleeces due to feeding.
Established in the Horsepasture District of Henry County, Virginia, now located in Meadows of Dan, Virginia
